The Bonnevies
Simon Bonnevie, son of Simon Bonnevie and Marcelline Melanson, was born June 26, 1850 in Cape Bald, New Brunswick.  He married Dometilde Bourque, daughter of Joseph Bourque and Madeline Gould/Doiron on May 14, 1874 in Cap-pele, NB Canada. They had 15 children. Pierre, Hypolite, Joseph, Marcelline, Marquerite, Rose, Adolphe, Fidele, Mathias, Phillip,Aime, Philiciene, Madeleine, Jacob and Christine.
Simon and Dometilde are buried in Lynn, Mass.

Note that the "unknown" person is holding a copy of the French-Canadian  newspaper L'Evangeline. Probably sent to them in the USA from home in Acadia so as to keep up with the news of the day.

Evangeline was one of Longfellows great works It tells the story of two Acadians seperated during the deportation. 
The Bonnevies and Cormiers families date back to the early days in Acadia.
