Frank Hannum (also known as Francis in some records) Enlisted Oct 4, 1862, captured Oct 28, 1864 Morristown, Jefferson County, TN.  Oct 30, 1864 was sent to Chattanoga, Tn, arrived at the military prison Louisville, KY Nov./20-25, 1864, sent to Johnson's Island Nov 20, 1864 released June 16, 1865.  Swore oath of allegiance June 6, 1865, Sept 30, 1865 and May 8, 1866. He was born July 3, 1837 in TN, VA or PA d. approximately May 10, 1915 in Florida. He was never married but had several children Frank had the honor and privledge of being expelled from VMI by Professor Major Thomas J. Jackson but he was reinstated 2 days later. (35)
