*****THANKSGIVING AT GRANDMA'S*****

Turkey and dressing; mashed potatoes and yams,
Green bean casserole, yellow squash, oh what a busy cook I am!

Apple pie and pumpkin; mince meat for Aunt Sue,
They'll all be arriving soon - so much left to do!

Set the table, chill the wine, where IS that turkey platter?
Good thing no one's here yet; I'm making quite a clatter!
I think things are ready; OOPS, forgot to put the olives in a bowl;
I feel like I've been working for a month now, oh my, bless my soul!

By the time dinner's over, I'll be asleep on the floor,
My guests will have to step over me to get out the front door!
While they're all busy saying, "Wow Grandma, this is the BEST!"
I'll just smile and think to myself,
"When this day is over, I'll get some well-deserved REST!"

As we say thanks for our blessings, I'll be adding my own line;
Taking ME to a "restaurant" for thanksgiving dinner next year would be FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!
