Any female should really sympathize with the story of Noah, Mrs. Noah, and all those animals! We know these facts to be true because God said it happened!
First, we remember that God said for Noah to build an ark We are also told that it took him many years to complete the ark. Any woman who has ever asked her husband to repair something or build something can sympathize with Mrs. Noah!
But after all those years God said, "Noah, gather up the animals! It's going to rain!" Now Mrs. Noah must have had some strong thoughts about this. She remembered all the pets her boys had. She remembered Shem's pet lamb, Ham's pet snake, and Japeth's pet mouse! Who ended up feeding them! That's right: Mrs. Noah! Noah needed the boys to help him build the ark and Mrs. Noah and her three daughters -in-law took care of everything else… and now they would also be caring for all those animals!
Well, soon the ark was full of animals, Noah, Mrs. Noah, and their family and God said, "Let it rain!" And rain it did! For forty days and forty nights it rained. Can you imagine? Nearly six weeks of being closed up in the ark with all those animals! Six weeks of the rocking and swaying of the ark and the dull drumming sound of waves and rain! Talk about "Cabin Fever!"
We think, "How exciting to float in an ark and have all those lovely animals around." Well, as a woman, I believe that when Noah and Mrs. Noah walked out of that ark onto dry ground and saw the clear rainless sky and the last of those animals meandering out of the ark, that Mrs. Noah could finally say, "Thank you God!"
