Last Will and Testament of
Christopher Sees, Sr.
I Christopher Sees, Sr. being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this mortal life desire to make this my last will and testament in the manner and form following that is to say. First I give and bequeath unto Joanna Sees and Arsanna Sees two of the heirs of Jonas Sees two heifers of my property. I give and bequeath unto Wm. M. Sees another of the heirs of Jonas Sees the sum of $95,00 and to the rest of the heirs of Jonas Sees deseased $5,00 to be divided amongst them. I give and bequeath unto my daughter in law Temperance Sees the sum of $5,00. I give and bequeath unto Margaret Wright one saw and four pigs. I give and bequeath unto Ingoba Wright one of my daughters the land that I own of Grass Spring Run a branch of Indian Creek in Tyler County, WVA. I give and bequeath unto Rebecca Pitts another of my daughters $100.00. I give and bequeath unto Christopher Pitts the sum of $50,00. I give and bequeath unto my son Christopher Sees, Jr. the sum of $5,00 lawful money. I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Martin one of my daughters the sum of $5,00. I give and bequeath unto Basheba Twyman the sum of $5,00. I give and bequeath unto Rachel Piles the sum of $5,00. I give and bequeath unto the heirs of Civilla Tucker deceased the sum of $5,00. These several legasees or sums of money that I have given unto the respected legatees I order to be paid as follows first of all after my decease. I order my executor to pay all my debts and costs of executing this my last will and testament after said debts are settled. I order Rebecca Pitts to recieve her dowry whatever it is first, the rest of them equally as the money may be collected none of them to be due until one year after my decease. In case there should not be as much as I have given away after my debts are paid, I want them to share in ratio as I have willed, if more, to be divided by this same rule. And lastly I hereby appoint W. R. McIntyre as my sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

County Court of Tyler County April Term 1882 April 10
The last will and testamnet of Christopher Sees, Sr. deceased, late of Tyler County was this day presented in Court of Probate and the execution of the said will by the said Christopher Sees, Sr. was fully approved be the oaths of Elzenia M. Baker and Francis M. Baker Subscibing Witnesses to the same and there upon the said will was ordered to be recorded as and for the last will and testament of said Christopher Sees, Sr., deceased, whereupon William McIntyre the person named in said will as Executor thereof appeared in open court and made oath as such executor and together with Benjamin White his surety therein entered into and acknowledged as bond as such executor in the penalty fo $600.00 conditioned according to law certificate therefore granting him for obtaining probate of said will in due form.
