Butterscotch Candy
- 6oz butterscotch morsels
- 1 cup peanuts
- 2 cups chow mien noodles
Melt morsels in double boiler. Stir in dry ingredients. Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper.
Peanut Butter Delights (Cow Patties)
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 stick butter
- ½ cup canned milk
- ¼ cup cocoa
- 3 tbsp. creamy peanut butter
- 3 cups 1 minute quaker oats
Bring sugar, milk, butter, cocoa, to a boil over high heat. Cook 1 minute after it starts to boil. Add peanut butter and quaker oats. Stir well and drop onto wax paper to cool.
Old Fashion Butterscotch
- 1cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 ¾ cup water
- ¼ cup butter
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Combine all ingredients in pan and cook over low heat until sugar melts. Keep cooking, but don't stir after sugar had dissolved. It has reached "hard cracked stage" when syrup dropped in cold water separates into hard little threads. Pour into buttered 8 inch pan. Cool and mark squares. Break into pieces when it's cold.
