In the area that she lives, they have rows of these small boathouses standing in line on the beach.
Each one is painted a different colour and now they have become collectors pieces, fetching huge prices........
I love photographing them and so this small quilt came about.
I enhance the quilt with pen sketching and I've called this method "Draplique"
"Draplique" now fits into most of the quilts I design and make..... and I've expanded the idea to ehancing quilts by an easy painting method.
