| This quilt features easy piecing, applique, "Drapplique" (Illustrated applique) foundation pieicing and an imagination stimulation. Students have said "It's just like making felt pictures at Sunday School." I have a lot of fun teaching this class, it offers a different perspective to applique and beyond !!!! We explore the use of theme fabrics and illustration. i.e. Sky, grass, water, animal prints,fabric animals and birds. I'm sure you have a collection of these things and just don't know what to do with them. The illustration is a taught technique and you'll wonder at your expertise. I use new techniques in teaching and each student can view their quilt and play with colour schemes and textures on the lap top in class. Using the computer allows me to present quilts made by other students who have completed the class. The motto of this class "Enjoy life......... this is not a dress rehearsal." |
