"Oh, I have to pick up someone."
"Got you!" Lehla said understandingly.
The car then headed toward the airport. In about thirty minutes, the car stopped in front of the Hong Kong Airport. Lehla turned around and said to Lynn, "I'll wait for you."
"Thank you so much." Lynn replies as she opens the door, walks out of the car, and runs into the airport.
Nearly five minutes later, Lynn walks out of the airport with a young woman and a girl about ten years of age.
"Lehla, this is my best friend, Ali Aphrodite Lee." Lynn introduces.
Ali takes off her sunglasses and greets pleasantly, "Hi Lehla. Nice to meet you."
Lehla takes a close look at Ali and freezes. Her mouth drops open, and there is worry in her face. Even though ten years have passed, Ali has not changed one bit. She still looks young and pretty just like the picture Lehla saw in Eric's personal room, but that's not the reason why Lehla's body shook. Besides Ali's looks, there is definitely something unique about her. When she smiles, her angel lips have the power to improve people's moods, and her eyes could hypnotize. Now more than ever did Lehla truly understand why Eric couldn't forget her regardless of what she has done.
"Lehla, are you okay?" Lynn asks confusingly.
"What?" Lehla responds bewilderedly because the question had disrupted her thoughts. In a second or so, she discovers what was going on. She turns toward Lynn and continues, "Oh, I'm fine."
"Are you sure you're alright? Your face looks pale."
"Oh, I was just a little tired, that's all." Then she rotates toward Ali greets, "Hi, nice to meet you too. I apologize for my behavior."
"Oh no, pleasure's all mine." Ali replies.
"Hi there!" Lehla said to the little girl Ali's with.
"Hi, miss Lehla! My name is Danielle." The girl responds.
"She is my daughter." Ali adds.
"Your daughter? Wow, I didn't think you are married because you look so young." Lehla said surprisingly.
"Well, thank you!" Ali smiles.
"May I ask where do you live?"
"I lived in England. I came here for a visit."
"Is your husband coming with you?"
Ali tries to respond, but Danielle interrupts, "Daddy will come next week."
"What is his name?"
"Michael Jeffrey Lau." Ali answers.
"You know what Lehla? Michael is the most gorgeous man in the world. You have to see him to believe it. Oh wait, Eric is the first. Michael only stands number two." Lynn joins the conversation.
"Who's Eric?" Ali asks.
Before Lynn could answer the question, Lehla feels uncomfortable and tries to change the subject, "How long do you plan to visit Hong Kong?"
"We don't know for sure because Michael has some business to deal with. Whenever he's done with everything, I guess." Ali replies.
"Oh yeah, I have to introduce you to Johnny." Lynn said with a smile.
"Johnny? Is that the one you were talking about?" Ali asks.
"Yup!"
"I can't wait to see who he is." Ali teases.
"You can see him this Saturday at my friend's dance club. I will introduce you to him and his friend, especially Eric."
"This Saturday? Oh no, I can't. I have an important meeting to go to because of Michael's delayed flight."
After Ali said that she couldn't come, Lehla felt much relief because she did not want Eric to see Ali ever again. She is in love with Eric so much that she won't give him up to anyone or anything. |

Saturday night came and the MOON PRINCESS dance club became spirited because of many energetic people around. Lynn's group of friends is sitting at the table at the right corner where they are busily talking to each other despite the loud music.
"Hey, I thought you said you would introduce us to your friend?" Johnny yells out.
"She couldn't come because she has a meeting to go to. You don't know how disappointed I am, and trust me, I yelled at her already." Lynn replies.
"So tell us, what does she look like?" Danny asks.
"She..."
Lynn hasn't finished talking because Lehla suddenly interrupts, "Hey, they're about to turn on the karaoke. Anyone wants to sing?"
"Eric, why don't you get up there?" Johnny said.
"Eric knows how to sing? Really?" Lehla asks surprisingly.
"Oh...you have no idea." Linda responds with an admiring face.
"Don't listen to them. They don't know what they're talking about." Eric blushes.
"I don't believe that. Eric, could you please go up there? Do it for me, please!" Lynn begs with a cute puppy face.
"Yeah, Eric, go up there and sing your song." Danny adds.
"His song?" Lynn asks.
"Yup, his song, ONLY YOU. He wrote it like ten years ago. Come on, Eric!" Johnny pushes.
When Eric is up on stage, he looked incredibly gorgeous. When he started to sing, his high, sweet, and sexy voice blew people out of their seats to stand up and cheered for him.
'Oh, he is marvelous. How could a girl walk out on him?' Lynn thought to herself. |
