Ali finished the meeting early, so she took Danielle to the dance club to meet with Lynn. When she gets there, her ears rang from hearing a familiar voice.
"Oh no, don't tell me that it's he who's singing." She said shockingly.
Then she nervously looked around and stared straight at the stage. There he is, standing with a microphone and passionately singing the song they both loved. Oh god, he looks exactly the same as ten years ago. Her heart starts to beat, faster and faster every time he sings the high notes. She couldn't believe herself. Why is she scared? What is it exactly that makes her blush?"
Suddenly the music stops, and it distracts her thoughts. She looks around and sees everyone is staring at her. She didn't know what was going on until a voice calls out her name, "Ali!"
She directs her head to where it is and spots Eric. She could see that he is in shock, and there are many emotions running inside him. Surprised, happy, confused, and hope, it all displays visibly on his face. She wants to run. She wants to hide, but it's too late now because Eric already jumped down from the stage and ran straight for her.
"Ali, no!" Eric shouts out as he saw her turn and run away from him.
"Eric, what's wrong?" Lynn asks as she stops him.
"I had already lost her once. I'm not going to lose her again." Eric replies and pushes Lynn away.
When he gets outside, there is no sign of Ali. He is so hurt and feels as if his heart had shattered into millions pieces. He doesn't know what to do besides screaming vociferously, "No!"
"What's happening?" Lynn asks Linda.
"That was the SEA GULL he was talking about." Linda speaks softly.
"Are you sure?" Lynn asks in surprise because she couldn't believe that the Ali she knows is Eric's sea gull.
"Most definite."

Ali kept on running until Danielle pulled back and yells, "Mommy, what is going on? Why are we running?"
Ali stops abruptly, then turns to look every where in case Eric's following her. When she sees no sign of Eric, she exhales and feels as if someone has lifted the heavy weight off her shoulders.
"Mommy, are you okay?" Danielle asks anxiously.
"Oh...yeah...I'm fine! Sorry honey, I didn't mean to scare you."
Then her face turns to serious. She holds Danielle's shoulders tightly and asks, "Danielle, honey, if someone wants to take you away from mommy, what would you do?"
"Mommy,. what are you saying?"
"Sweetheart, please answer me."
"Of course not. Danielle will always stay with mommy."
The unexpected tears spill out from her eyes as she listens to Danielle's innocent words. She hugs her daughter and speaks softly, "I love you, sweetie."

Ever since Ali ran out of the dance club, Lynn had so many questions within herself that nearly drove her crazy. Why her best friend in the whole wide world turn out to be the Sea Gull? Why didn't Ali mention anything about Eric and how they met? Above of all, why did Ali leave Eric in the first place? She couldn't stand it any longer. She had to know the answers, or it would eat her alive. She drove to the FIVE STARS HOTEL where Ali is with the greatest speed. When she got there, she ran straight to Ali's room. She threw open the door and saw Ali stands near the window.
"What was going on between you and Eric?" Lynn asks disturbingly.
Ali slowly turns her head toward Lynn and replies softly, "I don't want to talk about it."
"I don't care if you want to or not. You have to tell me, and you better make it clear." Lynn demands.
"I said I don't want to talk about it, didn't you hear?" Ali screams.
"Why not? Scared or too ashamed of yourself?" Lynn snaps.
"Me? Ashamed?" Ali shocks.
"Why not? Eric is the most incredible guy I've ever seen. He is charming, caring, loving, and so gorgeous. Only a fool would pass him by, and obviously you were the one."
"Oh...right, you know him too well, but didn't you forget to mention that he is also a great heartbreaker?" Ali mocks.
"Heartbreaker?"
"So you didn't know? Well...well...well...I didn't think it would be a shocking news to you." Ali said acrimoniously.
"What are you talking about?"
"If you were here ten years ago, you would see how PERFECT your Eric was." |
