Trav came to me in May 1986 at the age of seven months and gained the first of 5 Best Puppy awards at Championship Show level at the beginning of July that same year. He received his first Reserve Challenge Certificate at the age of 11 months followed by his Junior Warrant a few days after his first birthday. Travs first Challenge Certificate came at the age of 13 months. From then on he won every Junior and Limit class in which he was entered. Trav was taken out of the ring in August with nine Limit classes and four Challenge Certificates to his credit and numerous Reserve Challenge Certificates.

Trav returned to the ring the following year in Open Dog where he was awarded 11 Challenge Certificates including the Dog Challenge Certificate at Crufts. Almost immediately he was invited to take part in the Contest of Champions; only the second Border Collie to achieve this, the first being his Great-great-grandsire, Show Champion Tilehouse Cassius of Beagold. Trav reached the quarter final on that occasion.

 Trav's show career escalated and to date he is still the only Show Border Collie to take Three Challenge Certificates each with Best of Breed at Belfast Championship Show where on the last occasion he attended, he was also Reserve Working Group (Equivalent to today's Group 2).

Trav was shown infrequently from then on but continued to achieve high honours before his retirement. Trav was the first Grand Veteran of the Year which was sponsored by the Border Collie Club of Great Britain.

Finally, I would like to give a very big Thank you to all Breeders and Exhibitors who have made Trav one of the breeds Top Sires. A list of his Champions here and abroad are now listed.
