. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [there are disputes on her first name . . . so maybe both?]
. . . apparently had at least one brother named, John GRIMES, who also had a son named John,
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . These two are to be found on the 1816 Census in Montgomery Co., OH
. . . possibly a son; Samuel GRIMES, m. 1809 Rockbridge Co., VA, Betsey STEEHLE
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . who left a Will in 1812 which declared "uncle John GRIMES" as his Executor
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . this same Will, and the money's received from same, listed in Mary's Will in 1828

Mary, with her son James and her five daughters, made the trek from PA > thru VA > thru KY > to OH
They arrived in Montgomery Co., OH in 1805, having traveled in a six horse wagon, and crossing into OH
just below Cincinnati. Then continued on up to the Mad River area of Montgomery Co., OH.

died; 18 May 1921, El Paso, TX -- buried at Mtn. View Cemetery, Deming, NM

. . . cause of death was a gunshot wound, in the lower back, from a gunfight at Noria Station, NM
. . . transported the 25 miles by train for medical assistance
. . . we have the newspaper reports for the shoot out . . . these details now are proven

. . . occupation: "Pioneer Cattleman", a member of the Cattleman's Association
. . . Mother's first name . . . might have been, Phoebe
. . . So far unable to trace him past the day he married his "Sophie"
