Who Is Farnsworth?

Farnsworth was first chartered in 1921, our sponsoring body is the St. John's Commandery No. 20 in Springfield, MO.  We have had some good times and bad times, but you probably suspect that from any chapter.  As DeMolays, we are striving to be better sons, better leaders, and better DeMolays.

Farnsworth chapter has a history of excellence in ritual and sport competition, and hopes to take this reputation into the next generation.

Farnsworth also has a history of starting new chapters, one in Sac Osage, and one in Rolla.

So you can see that there is a chapter near you.  If you would like to know more or how to get an application you can fill out our pre-application by clicking here, or you may email us at farnsworth2000@yahoo.com.  We will help you get all set up.

What is DeMolay?

jdemolay.jpg (11976 bytes)The order of DeMolay is a fraternal organization that teaches seven cardinal virtues:  Filial Love (love of parents), Reverence for sacred things, Courtesy, Comradeship, Fidelity, Cleanness, and Patriotism.

The order was first established in 1919 by a Master Mason, Frank S. Land.   His intentions was to start a "club."  Now this club is the largest high school fraternity nation wide, and has grown all over the world.

This great organization is for young boys between the ages of 12 and 21 years old and who believe in God.

There are famous DeMolays such as:  Walt Disney, John Wayne, Harmon Killebrew, Pete Rose, Brett Favre, Bob Mathias, Paul Harvey, Fran Tarkenton, Dan Rather and even our President, Bill Clinton, and many more.
