Fold and Say Social Skills - Click here to see a table of contents. 204 school, home and community topics. Students look at/read about a common social situation, decide on an outcome, and then tell, write, or draw a picture of "what happens next." Students answer one to five questions about the situation. Each question helps the students focus on the feelings of the people involved in the activity and to explore other possible story outcomes.

Low-Tech Assistive Technology
Highlighter Tape and Sheets - use these removable products to highlight text on paper without damaging. Great for highlighting multi-step instructions, copying dictionary definitions, highlighting the main idea/critical elements of a story, and more. Watch this space for a review as I will be ordering this soon!
Tap -N- Glue - a special cap for glue bottles which allows your child to release a single bead of glue. This would be useful for a child who has trouble knowing when to stop squeezing that bottle!
Finger Grip Ruler - this ruler has a handle to hold it still. Tony LOVES this thing. It is much easier for him to hold it in place, especially when he needs to draw a line.
Angled Writing Surfaces - slant boards may help to alleviate some writing problems.
Stage Rite Paper Series - developed by Kate Gladstone, a handwriting professional, this series of writing paper progress in steps and will come in handy for kids who have trouble positioning their writing on the lines properly. Here are some samples.
Pencil grips - a nice listing of various pencil grips, triangular pencils, weighted pencils and more. Meant to aid those who have difficulty holding their pencil properly.

Software Solutions
Form-Filler Software - a software program that allows you to scan a form/worksheet to your computer which can then be filled out on your PC and printed as if the answers were typed in. I will be purchasing this item in the near future, so watch this space for a review.
