Background
I am participating in an on-line introductory course in genealogy, being taught at Virtual University by Marthe Ahrends. Part of the process of the course is to form study groups based on interests. I was interested in tracing Irish roots, particularly, County Cork. My study group used the name "Fianna" for both the group and the result of some of their on-line researches.
