For Years I've tried to have God's
peace
But couldn't find the way.
My own unrest and hurts from others
Weighed me down each day.
And then God showed me - On this
road
We really walk alone.
Accountable for just our lives
And others for their own.
A bitter root can soon spring up
If nurtured in our heart
And choke out God's great blessing
If given half a start.
But I can only walk my walk
And when I lose His peace
Just talk to Him and ask Him when
And how the blessing ceased.
Revenge and judgement aren't for
me
I must leave them to Him,
Then if another fails I won't
Compound it with my sin.
For God's the equalizer
And His is the reward
And on the head that bows to Him
The blessings will be poured.
