Farlow Township and Parrish, Shropshire England, with Cromwell's army

There is also a story of a second CPT Farlow, fighting on the side
of the Irish, who died 1691 in action at the siege of Limrick. <
on record for deeds of bravery at this seige> he is possibly the
son of the first CPT Farlow.
Farlows have been known in Monogahn County(north of Meath) &
Fermanagha Co Farlows have been known in Shropshire
& Worchestershire Counties in England.
It has been speculated that the Farlows originated in Normandy
France and came over to England with William the Conqueror, under the
name de Farlaise.
AMERICA
The first known FARLOW of our branch was John Farlow, first seen
in Deleware- South Eastern Pennsylvania in the early 1700,s
There are two proposals to his origin:
The first is that he came from Ireland, there is supposedly a
family bible that belonged to an Archie Farlow in NC that shows some
of his children born in Ireland.
The second is that he was a secendant of Thomas Farley <
sometimes spelled Farlow> of Virginia. Who came over on the Ship
Anne , from England in the middle 1600's.
Neither story has yet been verified.
There is a Historical monument in the Cemetary at Marlboro
Meeting, Randolph County, NC dediacted to Nathan FARLOW and Ruth
FARLOW listing both ancestors and decendants.
