2002 TERRACE PARTY
RETURNS TO BIRKWOOD PLACE
Saturday, September 14, 2002,
4-8 pm
The Oakenshawe Improvement Association welcomes neighbors, old and new, to the 2002 Terrace Party. This year's event will take place on Saturday September 14th from 4-8 pm along Birkwood Place and in the Oakenshawe Greenspace.
Terrace Party revelers can look forward to live music, children's activities; lawn games in the Greenspace and of course plenty of great food and drink! Cost for the event is $5 per person and $10 per family.
Resident's cars will need to be moved off the streets by 9:00 a.m. the day of the party. Signs will be posted along the streets prior to the event. Take note of the locations and park your car elsewhere. If you will be out of town on September 14th, please move your car prior to leaving the city.
The OIA will provide the drinks, burgers & dogs, but we need each family to bring a potluck dish to share. Please bring a Salad/Appetizer, Main Dish or Dessert corresponding to the first letter of your last name. If your last name begins with A through H, bring a Dessert. If your last name begins with I through R, bring a Salad or Appetizer; S through Z, bring a Main Dish.
Party Day Volunteers are Needed for:
Set Up Crew (prior to 4pm)
Registration Table (1-1/2 hour shifts during event)
Children's Activities Director (a few adults to oversee the kidŐs events)
Grill Masters (1 hour shifts during event)
Clean Up Crew (after 8pm)
Rain Date: Sunday September 15th, same time, same place.
