Our Wedding Day

I'm waiting for you at the altar,
And watch as you glide down the isle,
You're as pretty as a buttercup,
And your beauty is enhanced by your smile.

The radiance of your being,
Gives tingles down my spine,
And God in His Heaven, is blessing,
This union, taking place, in His shrine.

You reach for my hand as a greeting,
We face our maker above,
We vow to be one forever,
As God blesses this union with love.

We promise to love one another,
And always be faithful and true,
As God as our guide and protector,
Our vows together, each day we'll renew.

With patience and understanding,
We'll try to raise the family You'll give,
For we know that their souls are from heaven,
So we'll teach them each day how to live.

Then through life, as we do faulter,
We'll put our hand in Your's to guide,
Let us walk in Your footsteps forever,
And all of our troubles, in You we'll confide.

Now bless this union, Oh Lord, we pray,
Let us walk with You each day,
Be out guiding light, come what may,
With our vows to You, we say,
"I do, Oh Lord, in every way".

Our Wedding

Oh precious Lord, upon this, our day,
Be with us Lord, as we kneel and pray,
And take our vows to You we say,
"I do, Oh Lord, come what may".

In sickness or in health, till death do us part,
Keep us both in Thy loving heart,
In the book of records, You keep on our soul,
Let this man and woman, appear on that roll.

The love that we share will include You always,
For our lives would be void without you too.
So bonding together, our lives we impart,
That You will be always, upper most in our heart.

Throughout our lives, the blessings You give,
Will consummate marriage, for in You we will live.
Our vows are to You, and to You evermore,
We'll sing of Your glory, and only You we'll adore.

So on this day, we vow to each other,
That we'll live as one, in Christ, and no other.
Please bless this union oh now, dear Lord,
To make us mindful of Thy great reward.
