03/07/43 I am looking for, I believe, 2 siblings of Harry Morgan, Jr. born in Tabor, Iowa, who was a Sergeant in the United States Army and Verna Darlene Walrath, born in Council Bluffs, Iowa., a housewife. My father, James Richard Humphrey, was born on March 7, 1943 in the Tampa Municipal Hospital and adopted by James H. Humphrey & Helen Humphrey, the following day. We believe that James H. Humphrey (who was also in the United States Army), is the actual father of James R. Humphrey and may have had an affair with Verna Darlene Walrath, who then became impregnated with her 3rd child, my father, James R. Humphrey. The conclusion is her husband, Harry Morgan Jr., did not want this child from another man, therefore they gave him up for adoption. In the affidavit, Jim Humphrey is described as "Infant Morgan", and the adoption proceedings were initiated and final on Feb. 11, 1943 in the Superior Court of Tampa, Fl. and presided over by a Judge Parks. My fathers life has not been the best, and it would mean more than the world to me, and him, if any information about his real family could be available. Thank you. Gia S. Jury James R.
