04/13/63 Searching for wife's biological parents, born 13 April 1963. My wife, Susan Mary Kelly (nee Sacane) was born in Winterpark Florida on 13 April 1963. In a pre-arranged, closed adoption, she was adopted by Louis J. Sacane and Dolores Sacane. She has a congenital cardiac problem known as prolonged Q-T syndrome, and we are vitally interested in obtaining the health histories of her biological parents and grandparents. The state of Florida is very tight-lipped about closed adoptions, and even though we have hired private detectives and have gone to court, the state will not release any information. We do know, however, that they have it and there seems to be some compelling reason why they won't release it. Our objective is to make sure my wife can get the kind of treatment she needs. She isn't interested in establishing any relationship with her biological parents, or even knowing who they are if they don't want it known. We would like medical histories.
