Brown sausage in large pot. Remove sausage leaving fat in pot. If there's not much fat, add some oil. Saute' onion, celery and garlic until wilted. Return sausage to pot and add chicken, chicken broth, parsley and creole seasoning. Bring to boil then simmer for about 1 hour. Add gumbo file' and cook for additional 5 minutes. Serve over cooked rice.
*If homemade chicken broth is used, you will need to add additional salt to taste.
**If you like your gumbo thick, you can make a roux before you saute' the vegetables.
