INGREDIENTS:
1 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 onion, chopped fine
1 egg
Milk
Mix all dry ingredients. Add egg and onion. Slowly add milk until moistened to a stiff consistency, but soft enough to spoon. Drop by tablespoons into deep hot oil and fry until golden brown.
