Nora Rumery married Judge Kidder January 5, 1887. Judge Kidder and Nora had 2 daughters; Olive P. & Minnie M. I am still trying to find out when Nora was born, when she died and where she is buried. If you know of this information and would like to share it please email me. From Nebraska the Land and the People Volume 3: On January 5, 1887, Judge kidder married Miss Nora C. Rumery, of Fremont County, Iowa, a daughter of Suel C. Rumery, a pioneer farmer of Iowa. Mrs. Kidder was educated in Iowa, was graduated from the Sydney High School, and then, coming to Nebraska, taught school in Madison County. She is a very active member of the Baptist Church, and is prominent in social and club life of Fremont. She belongs to Rebekahs, the Royal Neighbors and the Womens Auxiliary of the Grand Army of the Republic, which she has served as secretary. Judge and Mrs. Kidder have two daughters: Olive P., who is a stenographer for the Stephens-Hammond Publishing Company of Fremont, married Peter C. Conroy, formerly of Omaha, and she is a member of the Rebekahs, the Royal Neighbors and the Ladies of the G. A. R., the auxiliary of thge Grand Army of the Republic; and Minnie M., who married S. C. Hansen, of Fremont, proprietor of a large bakery, and she belongs to the Rebekahs, Royal Neighbors and Ladies of the G. A. R., which latter organization she has severed as state president. These daughters are very accomplished ladies, and their work in behalf of the orders with which they are connected is of a very constructive character. |
