DATES: Students will leave May 30 and return the first of August.

COST OF TRAVEL: Approximately $900.
HOUSING: The interns will either live with Missionary families,
Thai Christian families. For male students you will live
in the intern house with Nick Shores and Lonnie Holebrook.
FOOD: It is possible to eat 3 meals very well on $7 a day.
TRANSPORTATION: Food, Transportation and Housing is $600.
PASSPORT: Students will need to obtain a passport. Application
for a passport can be found at your local Post Office
and each student will take care of their own passport.
Passports should be obtained no later than January.
VISA: You will need to apply for a two month tourist visa
the first week of May before you come. Call the Royal Thai
Consulate General in El Paso for a faxed copy of the visa
application: 915.533.5757
IMPORTANT: SEND/RECEIVE YOUR PASSPORT VIA FED. EX.
DO NOT USE THE US POSTAL SYSTEM.
SEVERAL FRIENDS HAVE LOST PASSPORTS THIS WAY.
Shots are not required to travel to Thailand. We recommend, however, hepatitis
A and B vaccines before coming to Thailand. (Actually, these are good
precautions in the States also). These vaccines are done in a series of two
or three shots. We recommend that you check out the public health office
in your home county for low cost vaccinations or we can go together to
the Abilene Health Department. Make sure that you are up-to-date on
immunizations that are recommended for America, particularly tetanus and TB.

souvenirs from the States and your university to use as gifts
CLOTHES that you normally wear on campus during the hot months. Long pants
needed when working on SEAU campus. GUYS: on campus ~ Polo shirts and nice
pants. Loafers No tennis shoes/sandals for campus. GIRLS: Sun dresses or
nice pants (No sleeveless dresses for campus. No exposed midriffs! On your
off days you can wear shorts and T-shirts. You can buy additional clothes and
bathroom toiletries in Thailand inexpensively.
