My Biography

Hi! I'm Sandra Outlaw. I am a single parent and I have the greatest daughters in the world. Erin and Erika are my thirteen year old twin daughters. Tonya is my oldest and she is married to Kip. They have one son, Chaise, who is six years old. Yes, I'm also known as Gwanny!(pronounced as spelled!)

I grew up in the Millennium Pentecostal Holiness Church, just outside Aulander, North Carolina. Throughout all my childhood, my parents weren't christians but momma attended church regularly. She used to say, "Regardless of the fact that I'm not a christian, I don't ever want to stand before the Lord and have Him tell me I didn't raise you right and teach you how to get to heaven." As a child, little did I realize that the Holy Spirit was dealing with her, even then. Today, I'm so happy to be able to say that momma is a born again christian, washed in His precious blood!

My childhood and early teen years were spent singing for the Lord. I sang in church regularly. I traveled around with my uncle to the homes of elderly and shut-in people around the surrounding communities. I was always active in church plays, Youth Camp and other church activities. I was saved and joined the church when I was fourteen.

In my late teens and early adult years, I wandered from the Lord. Occasionally, I would rededicate my life to the Lord but I was one of those wavering, straying people who seemed to never get a good solid foundation with Jesus. But, thank God, He says He's married to the backslider and the precious Holy Spirit never stopped speaking to me. I knew the Lord had a work for me; I knew I was, "Born to Serve the Lord" as the old gospel song says! My Heavenly Father has kept through so many harrowing situations.

As I stated, I knew throughout all those rebellious years that there was a special calling on my life. Others knew it, too. I was told this endless times by my dedicated christian friends.

It is my earnest prayer that my singing for His glory will make a profound difference in somebody's life. If only one soul is saved because I've allowed the Lord to use me, then surely, it's worth it all!

In Joel 2:17, God's people cried out for Him to spare them and He answered by saying He would repay them for the years the locusts had eaten. My prayer is, "Thank you, Lord, for sparing me so many, many times and please just let me repay You for all those wasted years I willingly fed to those locusts!!!
