REQUEST FOR PREBORN
"BABY
BROOKS"
We
are writing to ask all Christians who read this to
please pray
for our unborn baby. Our baby has been
diagnosed
with a cystic hygroma (tumor) that goes
from the neck half
way down the back and also one
the forehead. That
is serious enough in itself, but the
ultrasound
also showed a condition known as "non-
immune hydrops" which
is fluid around the baby's
abdomen causing pressure
on the heart and lungs.
This condition is
expected to only worsen and keep
the lungs
from developing and eventually stop the
little heartbeat.
The doctors are assuming these
problems are due
to some kind of chromosomal
defect such
as Down Syndrome or triosomy 18, but
they are unsure.
The baby is due January
1st, 2000. They have given
our baby a
very slim chance of being born full term,
even less chance
of being born alive, and a 0% chance
of survival
regardless of when he or she is born.
We are praying that
God will do what the doctors say
"For
nothing is impossible with God!"
The doctors gave us
the option of terminating
the pregnancy, but
we told them,
"We believe in
God. To abort would not give God a chance to work a miracle."
No matter what challenges
this child faces, it's life is a
gift from God. We
are praying that, come January, we
will get to take
our beautiful little baby in to see them
and share the Gospel
of Christ with them. We also believe that God will allow us the opportunity
to
speak to many (possibly
hundreds, thousands or more) about Salvation through our Lord Jesus and
the sanctity of the lives He creates.
Would you pray
with us for the healing of our baby?
We know God has a
plan for this little life. As tiny as it is now, it has already impacted
the lives of many people. We are asking that everyone who receives this
to please for-ward it to everyone you know and respond to us personally
