5. Humanitarian Service - Service to others is an important part of the work of the Church on every level, but most practically at the ward level. With recent national and worldwide tragedies and disasters, the work of the Church and of local wards and stakes has given good publicity to the Church, and opened doors into nations, communities, and individual lives. While contributions and assistance will certainly continue on a Church-wide basis, local leaders and Bishops are being encouraged to organize ward service efforts as the Spirit directs to the greatest need in each area.

• Great deal going on at the ward level - keep up the great work!
• Bishop's Storehouse - helping many in our stake and surrounding area; please fulfill welfare assignments
• Cannery - very busy; more non-member usage in future; we are considering purchasing a seamer/pouch
