God Bless America

 Take time to pray

 Most of us go to bed at night
Thinking everything is all right;
Thinking the world is peaceful and quiet,
And there is nothing there to deny it.

Not suspecting anything and all is good,
Living the happy days of our childhood.
All we ever worry about is how we look,
or the way we dress;
Until we wake up the next morning,
and the world's a mess.

Never gave it a thought of the more important things in life;
Like losing someone special. . .
family, children, husband and wife.

Turn on the TV, and watch things blow up;
Then the people around us, have to
quickly grow up.

Watching everything fall
apart as people are dying;
Like something hard to believe,
and always denying.
No use to fight back, or even trying.
When people are dead,
and the whole world is crying.

Will there be peace or will there be war?
Think about love and shut evil's door.
Ju
st like a nightmare, but not pretend,
And when you wake up, the dream doesn't end.

Never knowing what is to come each day;
Never knowing when your life could be taken away.
So be proud to be an American . . .
and take time to pray.

The poppy represents the symbol of remembrance. . .

At the setting of the sun, and with the morning light. . .
We will remember.
