From Kimberly P., MCC Corpus Christi-"Heart Wings 2003 in Corpus Christi was the first church conference that I have ever attended. I was slated to do childcare that weekend, but no children attended. I believe that was a blessing in disguise. I was able to attend two workshops and the worship services. The workshop on lay delegates was very spirtual fulfilling. The young women from Harvest MCC in Denton, Texas were so filled with God that it was almost overpowering. I had been wanting to start up Youth Church on Sunday mornings but with the small number of children that normally attend, I didn't know if I should. After speaking about my thoughts in this workshop and receiving their feedback, I went to our Pastor the next day and told him that I wanted to start it up (I went from 1-2 regular attenders to about 6 right now). It was the encouragement/insight that I needed. The workshops were very informative and I applaud my fellow congregants at MCC of CC for hosting and providing hospitality.
