An Apology

- last updated 9th July 2001

Well, hello. I'm back from holiday now, and that's why there haven't been any updates over the last week. Although, to be perfectly honest, I doubt anyone's noticed. It's not as if anyone actually looks at this site anyway. I just update it whenever I feel like it and write articles for a non-existent audience. I don't know why I do it. It's just a sort of hobby.

And now to the purpose of this article. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure yet what it is. I just felt I needed to write a little something to explain the lack of articles that have been written over the past week. I realise that the last article was on June 28th and before that there was a gap of about ten days. I can't honestly offer a decent excuse for that. The only thing I can say is that I was at work for at least three of those ten days, at my uncle's house for two others, and not doing anything for the other five, except on the Monday when I was in a Shakespeare performance. We did selected bits from various plays and the whole thing was wonderfully ungood, if that's a word, which it is not. Act II, Scene III of Much Ado About Nothing particularly springs to mind. There are four characters in the bit of the scene we did, and, brilliantly, only one of those playing these characters (me, in the role of Leonato) knew their words. Benedick got away with it, because he had very few lines, but Claudio and Don Pedro were standing around, being prompted every few seconds, and trying to hiss out of the sides of their mouths, "Get us off stage", which I eventually did, realising they weren't going to get any better at it. But anyway, that's no reason to not have written an article.

The basic premise of this article is that I'm sorry. Starting from Saturday 14th, there shall be no more articles for about two weeks, probably a little bit more, on account of me going to Peru. I'm sorry about that too, but there you go. I shall enjoy my absence, even if you don't. So, I'll try to do a couple more articles this week, to keep you happy. Bye for now.
