The Abridged Version of Doctor Zhivago, by Boris Pasternak!

- last updated 13th September 2001

Some of the more dedicated readers of this website (ie. those who log on more than once, or indeed, once at all) will remember that on August 1st, I posted my abridged version of Jurassic Park. While it's important to read thrillers, it's always good to read something of the classics. And that's why I now proudly present the abridged version of Doctor Zhivago! I have perused this book many times and have found the passage I believe to be the one that most sums up the great eloquence and beauty of this majestic book. Here is that passage:

"Forty thousand rotten pumpkins!"

And that was the abridged version of Doctor Zhivago, by Boris Pasternak. Look out for more abridged versions of great literature, coming soon courtesy of Heath the Rat.
