[Ahh, the smell and sounds of people doing business, eating their
meals,] Garibaldi thought to himself. Luckily there were no
Pak'ma'ra diners in the area. This was why he'd gone independant: working
alongside the common man, helping out him/her/it.
"Mr. Garibaldi," a voice said to him from across the table.
Garibaldi looked up, seeing the uniform of a member of security. [What was her
name?]
[Oh yeah.] "So, Lieutenant Raynes, what can I do for you today?"
"Captain Sheridan sent me here."
[My, aren't we the font of information], Garibaldi thought sarcastically. "Really? And what does his Transendance want with me?"
"He wants you to hand over your link, indentacard, and ppg -- both of them."
A chuckle. "No problem on the first two; I've had a civilian ID for a while." He dug them out, handed them over, as well as one of the ppgs. "I need to keep the other one, security purposes, you understand?"
She shook her head. "It's military issue. Look, I don't see what the problem is: you've got a license, so why can't you go get another gun? Now, hand it over, sir," forcing that last word through her teeth, thinking that if she was polite about it, he'd be reasonable.
[When you were a baby, did anyone drop you?] "Fine," Garibaldi grumbled, handing over the second ppg. A thought came to him: "Why didn't he get Zack to do the dirty work?" Garibaldi asked.
"Mr. Allan refused to, said no."

LATER, GARIBALDI'S QUARTERS:
"So, in short, you want me to get your guy in past security, no checks..." [et cetera, et cetera.]
"You don't have a problem with that, do you?" he asked.
Garibaldi thought that over.

Notes/question: what might happen now? was it Zack's fault that
Garibaldi replied with "if you'd asked me that question yesterday,
i'd
have told you No. but not now" ??
for that matter, what might happen to Zack now that he's
defied Sheridan's order?
