How to avoid being burned by the Wheel of Fire, lesson one:
 - Stay away from Ancient Minbari Temples.
 - Don't be in the episode, therefore it is possible to *not* end up in restraints.
    - To avoid being in the episode "WoF", it is helpful to avoid the season "WoF".
       - To accomplish this, it is neccesary for any involved characters to have a divergence
from the canon version of Babylon 5 somewhere before the earth year 2262.
       - To keep the character relatively intact, it is advisable to change history as close to
          2262 as possible.
  - Point: in order to *have* a story, is is neccesary for said characters to have a reason to
come/return to B5 and therefore have the story. Reason may or may not be something
from canon version, it's up to you.
 - Mess with fate! :)

- Professor Webbington

Actually, the reason for this isn't from some College 101 class. It's from the Space Channel not having been able to purchase the rights to show season 5 of B5 (when I first had the idea and got the 12-part outline written up). Well, I have seen S5 by now (seen all 13 eps of crusade, too, GO DUREENA! Whoop Sheridan's ass! ;) he he he) but we'll ignore that fact for a while. :) I wanted to avoid Lyta meeting the fate (or lack thereof!) that the Great Maker had planned out for her from the moment she set foot on B5, waaaay back in the pilot movie. Season 4's ambiguous ending leaves room. :) Our tale begins back towards the end of season 4, just before Miss Alexander and Dr. Franklin depart for Mars . . . somewhere between 'The Exercise of Vital Powers' and 'The Face of the Enemy'.

This one was set up differently than my other fics to date. (No, I'm never going to stop experimenting with stuff. I'm doing all these fics to learn how to write better, the fact that you get to enjoy them is just icing on the cake. But please, email me and tell me if you like the icing! :) Please?) Instead of parts 1, 2, 3, etc, I did it by date. There are 12 parts so far, spread out over about a decade or so. Some are still in partly-outline form. I never had the time to get them fleshed out. :) Since there is so much room in between some of them, I've put the parts in according to when they happen, not when they were written. Sounds Kewl? Good, Because that's what I'm doing. Now, on with the show!
