This is a Baha'i Magazine that is set up to simply explain various aspects of Baha'i belief. I really liked it, though it can sometimes be awkward finding the thing you had been looking for because there is so much there to look at!
Information and stories about homebirth. It is well set up, with a very clear table of contents. Does a great job of explaining the benefits of homebirth and that it is just as safe as anywhere else.
This is my alltime favorite parenting magazine! It is ABSOLUTELY wonderful! CHECK IT OUT! Within it's covers it talks about Childbirth, Breastfeeding, Circumcision, Immunization, Family bedding, and all sorts of cool attachment parenting philosophy! It has been my bible in getting over the rough spots while parenting. Her books are wonderful too. There is even a Baha'i homebirth story in "Mother's Favorites".
This site is set up very well. Here you can find answers to breastfeeding questions you may have, a catalogue of books and breastfeeding material, and access to your local LaLeche Legue group. If you have any queries about breastfeeding I highly recommend this site. Btw, if you are someone in Saskatoon and would like to order something feel free to email me (I am treasurer for one of the local chapters of this organization).
I haven't read this other than the online version yet... but it looks REALLY radical! I can't wait to see the back issues I ordered!
This is a web page that has many stories from survivors of sexual abuse. It also has listings of survivors who want to meet other survivors and you can become email penpals through this forum. Remember that there are freaks everywhere so you probably shouldn't give out any identifying personal info over this forum.
This page is filled with a wide variety of birthing stories. I am much more interested in the homebirths and midwife assisted stories myself, but even if you are not into that style of birthing you will find stories that mirror your own, i'm sure! The stories are listed consecutively, starting as early as 1970 and there are well over a hundred stories posted. They do take submissions so if you are interested in adding your story that is an option too!
This is a page full of toddler nursing testimonies... reasons to continue nursing into toddlerhood, and the stories of women who have done so, along with some quotes from "Mothering your Nursing Toddler."
