I was born in California, and moved to North Carolina around 1990. I'll be 17 in October, I'm of Sicilian heritage, and a freak at school. Similar to Jade, an admirable writer, I have suffered long under the painful institution of public schooling, and am glad to approach this next year as my last in high school. Torn by society, now callused and rueful, Samantha Hardeskey proves to be ornery and wise simultaneously...each trait stronger when in more demand.
My work may suck, but that's only because I've been at it for a few years...Stephen King is my inspiration, and in his mid 50's, he's what I'd call an experienced writer. I have plans on writing, but also studying psychology and history. Some work of mine can be found at this page: http://www.oocities.org/samhardeskey and at a page not monitored by my parents: http://www.oocities.org/meine_eigene_welt I share this with a French co-writer, who is not fluent in English, so the stories have a different flavor. Some pictures can be found around the site, but be careful! The computer screen will crack.
Ah, what else is there? Oh, yes, the most important to teenagers my age...appearance. I, too, used to be a Goth, but refrained from makeup and jewelry. A black teeshirt and jeans was my armor in the high school. I have a birthmark on my chin (which has earned me a permanent scar on my psyche at the hands of my "peers"), am overweight and have pimples on my face. I like to slice myself every now and then to relieve the steam inside, but I have been happy now that it's the summer and my peers are very far away. To make matters worse, I'm considering bisexuality, but that's just because guys have let me down so often.
Well, that's it. If you're interested, drop by the site, have a look around, drop me a line. My e-mail is samhardeskey@yahoo.com and I check it normally.
