SANDMAN

I am classified as a "night angel", category two Guardian Angel. A category two guardian angel is a counseling type of angel. In other words-we don’t push our subjects out of the way of falling pianos, or from the front of oncoming automobiles and such! There are others to whom that job belongs!

My position is to offer advice, sympathy, congratulate, humor, scold, and direct etc.etc.. During the period my subject is most receptive, at bedtime, just before sleep! For this reason, my counterparts call me "Sandman".

I received my special angel status due to the event leading up to my own death. For I was shot by a child who was playing with a gun which he found in his father's drawer. This young boy was pointing the gun at his sister. Just as the gun went off, I leaped into the line of fire to prevent the girl from being shot! Yes, the boy and girl were my children! So without going into still painful details You can see that My charge and I have a lot in common...
