What is Heavenly Dreamers?

It’s hard to classify. It’s similar to an RPG, only the roles are guardian angels for Max, Liz, and the others. Everything that has happened in each episode will still happen in Heavenly Dreamers. Max and Liz will say the same things and do the same things. The only difference is that you, the viewer, will now be aware of what their angels are saying and doing for their charges as the episodes unfold.

How are the angels grouped?

The angels are divided into two categories: Head Angels and Angels in Training (AITs). Head angels are directly responsible for their charges and also manage the AITs assigned to their charge. AITs are basically assistant angels who are learning how to be Head Angels. Each AIT reports to their Head Angel and has a specific task or duty assigned to them for their charge.

Is this only for Max and Liz?

No! We have angels for Alex, Isabel, Maria and Michael, just not as many as Max and Liz. Why? Well, we’re trying to keep the size of this thing under control. If we dealt with every character in as great a detail as Max and Liz, the threads would go on forever. And in order to do each character justice in the great detail sense, we, the writers, would be over burdened. I’ll personalize it. I’LL be over burdened. In a perfect world, I would have lots of time to write for each and every character. Alas, I work 60 to 80 hour weeks! But all that work pays for these lovely little computers and gadgets that I love! :) This is supposed to be fun. Not burdensome. Please allow me to underline that this is NOT a slight to these other important characters! We love them too!!

What else should I know about the angels?

Well the main thing is just because you’re dead, doesn’t mean you get a whole new personality! Those little quirks that make each of us different are still intact. So, if you were a neat freak alive, chances are you’ll still be one in the afterlife.

Wing usage is a major problem! Learning to fly is not a piece of angel food cake! Quite the contrary, it takes lots of practice, dedication and above all concentration. It’s the concentration part that gives some of the angels headaches. You’ve heard of the term “flighty”? Well, now you know where it comes from. Sometimes angels can be so flighty that they fly smack into solid objects like walls or chimneys or… trees. When that happens, it’s referred to as “pulling a George” a la George of the Jungle. (Now everybody sing: George, George, George of the Jungle. Watch out for that tree!)

Every Head Angel reports to a Saint of some sort. Most saints are fairly easy going, although there’s one, Saint Self Righteous, that is anything but. His name says it all. I’d be surprised if he’d admit to pooping, much less sinning, when he was alive. He has an assistant, Ann Nunny Mouse, that always turns up at the worst possible moment.

Can anyone join?

Sure! But you have to apply first! You will then be asked to write a biography of your angel. If you choose not to do this, a Head Angel will write on for you.

Can only the Head Angels write storyline posts?

No, anyone can write a storyline post as long as they meet two conditions. One, you have to be an angel. Two, your post must fit in with the timeframe outline. The Head Angels will not post your writing for you: we want each writer to get the feedback they so richly deserve.

What is the Timeframe Outline?

The timeframe outline can be found at the Heavenly Dreamers website. It’s basically an outline of scenes in each episode that the head angels are planning to write or have already written (designated by the word complete). This outline is so that anyone who wants to post can do so without messing up the timeframe of the thread. IE. In the Pilot, we wouldn’t want you to post something about the Festival when we’re only up to the Band Room scene.

Another thing to note: the timeframe outline has scenes that the Head Angels are planning to write. It doesn’t include every scene. So, if you would like to write a scene that’s not on the outline, please inform one of the Head Angels about it, and we’ll put it on the outline so everyone else will know you are writing something for that scene. Then you can post it yourself at the appropriate time.

Perhaps you’d like to post a scene that wasn’t even shown on television. That’s fine, too, just let us know when it occurs so we can keep the timeframe outline up to date, and so our viewers don’t get confused.

The timeframe outline was created to help all of the different writers know when to post. Remember: we’re not psychic. So if you have a really great post you’re working on and don’t let us know about it, we’re liable to move on past the scene where your post takes place. And we wouldn’t want that to happen because we LOVE it when people write!!

I like to post on the “fly”. Can I do that here or do I need someone’s approval?

No, you don’t need our approval. Post away! JUST REMEMBER TO KEEP WITHIN THE TIMEFRAME!!!! After you post, please, pretty please, send one of the Head Angels a copy of your post to archive! Why? Because there is one power no angel has: the power to recreate a post that gets deleted. And such a loss would be tragic, wouldn’t it? Calling for rending of garments and knashing of teeth.

Do I have to submit my post for approval?

I put this in to reassure each writer that you DO NOT need our approval to post! We trust you, for Heaven’s Sake! Just follow the two conditions we’ve outlined and you’ll be fine! If not, we have an edit button! Just in case your brain is suffering from caffeine withdrawal, the two conditions are located under the question: Can only Head Angels write storyline posts. How do I send a post I’ve made to my Head Angel for archiving?

Go to the Heavenly Dreamers website and look under the Angel Directory. It has mail links to everyone.

When are we going to start? We've started!! We’re asking, begging, pleading and groveling to the AITs to finish their biographies. Before we start with the Pilot, we’ll be doing an INTRO thread that will explain everything and give the viewers a chance to read each angel’s biography and ask questions or make comments.
