Summer

That summer passed by pretty uneventfully actually. Hence the fact I'm writing about 2 and a half months time in one little section. I used the Jeep to get to work and to see my AWESOME girlfriend :) I never had any problems with it...Hahaha, yeah I did actually. First of all, it was definitely not a Jeep for rain. The wiper linkage had separated awhile back so I was left with no wipers. Also, I didn't have a full softtop and there was no way I was gonna put a hardtop on during the summer! I used full hard doors and a bikini top in rain which kept me mostly dry - it was seeing where I was going that was the problem. I used rain X so keep the windshield clear and it worked pretty well except in really bad downpours.

As far as offroading goes, I didn't go that often because I was so busy with other things. I'll tell ya about one time tho that was an ABSOLUTE blast! One night my friends and I were all online at the same time and we decided it was time to do some offroading (none of us had gone for weeks). Everyone drove down to my house and we began preparing our Jeeps for offroad. My offroad lights I had bought blew a fuse in my garage 5 minutes before we left and I was bummed cause I couldn't wait to try them. I would never get a chence to either as it so happened. My friend MJ rode with JT and my friend Hall drove with me because they were Jeepless that night. We got to the pits and went NUTS. There was mud everywhere but it wasn't deep. I led the way down one slippery trail and wound up powersliding into the woods. At one point, Hall and I put down the windshield but it kept bouncing which made me nervous. We wound up tieing it down with a bunch of grass and laughing about it for the rest of our lives. I drove through this HUGE puddle that drenched us and finally we had to call it quits because it was getting late. On the way out were some "moguls" and as my Jeep bounced over them, the front bumper flew off (it wasn't bolted on very well) and slammed into the groundat an angle so one end was digging into the dirt and the other was digging into my fender. We used my tow rope to tie the bumper back to my grille and we were all set.

We went back to a 7 11 to get food and drinks when I realized I didn't have my wallet. "Shit" I thought, it must have fallen out of my pocket. Hall told me he lost his beeper there once and they found it no problem so Hall, JT and I drove back in my Jeep to begin searching. Jt was in the back standing on the seat (not a good idea) hanging to the rollbar. At one point, he flew up and over the rollbar with his legs straight up in the air, it was pretty damn funny. Thank God we found my wallet sitting on a hill where we had stopped to get out to see what was in front of us. We headed home soaked, dirty and beyond happy with the offroading that night!
