In A Crowd

I walk alone in a crowd
like salt drifting in the sea
all the voices are so loud
that no one can even hear me

I cry out my pleading call
though it falls upon deaf ears
it sings about the terrible wall
that lies between freedom and fears

Among the faceless void of a sea
anothers voice does sing
it sings in the same tune as me
its sound, to my soul, is compelling

Ever since you spread your love
your name plays on my mind
my happiness now comes from above
a piece of my soul I did find.
