It may be said that a poem
exposes the author's soul,
and the sharing of true feeling
should be every poet's goal.

I, for one, know this to be true,
and consider it very much,
hoping my words on this paper,
will allow our souls to touch.

In the moment souls intertwine,
you will know you are not alone,
I will be yours, you will be mine,
and your heart will have a home.

Know your burdens in life are shared,
by many around and before you,
with whom your soul has been paired,
who will support and adore you.
