Wicca is a witchcraft/nature religion. We believe in our Goddess and Horned God. There are many kinds of Wicca, but I will speak mostly of the Celtic tradition. I am what is called an eclectic witch, meaning I follow and mix together different Wiccan traditions according to whatever works best for me.
Since this is a witchcraft religion, rituals are written and spells are cast. The "rules" restrict us in what kind of spells and rituals we can do. The Wiccan Rede states: " An it harm none, do what thou wilt." So as long as you don't hurt anyone with the craft, you can basically do what you want. And keep in mind that *hurting* includes casting any spells on someone against his/her will. That means no love spells.
Witches are not evil, as a group. Most of us are just trying to live and worship our Goddess. She has many names, and Hecate is just one of them.
Many Wiccans have a B.o.S., or a Book of Shadows. It's a witch's personal spellbook. Many are posted on the web for those who are still trying to find their paths. I, personally, will not post any of my spells because I think each Wiccan should write his or her own. The rituals are stronger that way, and are more likely to work for you. I do plan on adding a few prayers to the Goddess I have been given. I figure since these aren't technically spells (or rituals), then they should be okay to post on the net.
