Mandric 10-09-00

Coruscant late afternoon closed to evening while Mandric meditated. A gentle breeze stirs the hair on his head as he quickly focuses on his immediate surroundings. Relaxed and calm, Mandric gathers his cloak and begins walking back to his quarters.
A disturbance in the force wreaks havoc through Mandric's mind, sending him to his knees.
The familiar voice of his retired Jedi Master whispers in Mandric's mind.
"Help me, Mandric. I need your help now," the voice commands."
The feeling leaves as quickly as it came.
Master Tovrun is in trouble.
Mandric thinks quickly about the last known where abouts of his old teacher. The planet Gathica, a small planet somewhere on the outer fringes of charted space.

Master Tovrun retired from the Jedi Knighthood only three months ago. Tired of the useless debates and the Jedi council constantly never coming to a sound conclusion, Master Tovrun left in haste. He had left a letter for his former padiwan explaining Tovrun's need to be of use to someone. He headed for the isolated planet of Gathica where he could aid the people in legal matters as a judge.

Mandric never suspected any danger would fall upon Master Tovrun, espeacially something that Tovrun would need a young Jedi's assistance to defeat. A distress call powerful enough to travel the distance from Gathica to Mandric on Coruscant meant action must be takne immiediatly.
Asking the Council for aid would be a large waste of time. Mandric doesn't have the funds to buy any spacecraft, so he may have to hire a pilot with his own ship, or hope that a ship on diplomatic duties would be going to the Outer Rim. Mandric knows the chances fo that happening are small.
Calm and collective, as a Jedi must be, Mandric heads to his room to gather his personal items and decide how to get to Gathica and help Master Tovrun.
