OK, So this game has a point. You pilot a fighter ship:

You leave your planet to go lay claim to either a green or brown planet:

After the claim is laid, a frighter departs the homeworld to colonise it:

A base, colony, and space station are created, in that order, each needing a frighter to be made:

Material is gathered in a colony, prossesed in either a base or a starbase and used to make tech centers, com centers, and more freighters:

Brown planets are unable to support a colony, so instead they build a mine, which produces raw material which must be transported to a colony for proccessing. All building material used by the base or starbase must be transported from a green planet. The raw material transport looks like this:

A tech center provides weapon and shield upgrades for you fighter. Multiple tech centers increase the rate at which upgrades are avalible.

Com centers provide your radar with decient range. Outside of this range all happenings are a mystery. |

The space dock and the sensor array can be constructed on a space station. The space dock is able to repair fighters quickly, while the sensor array increases the range of radar.
