Physical Therapy
This is what I do. This is what I love. I have been totally blessed to have a profession that I would do for a hobby.
I work primarily with geriatric patients. Over the 24 years of my career I have worked extensively with developmentally disabled with multi-handicaps.
I have done training and developed back care programs.
But I have to say that neurology and geriatrics are my favorite.
I have never cared for sports medicine and personally see it as a totally different identity. Concepts are different, approach is different. So I leave sports medicine to the young althetic types and stay with the therapuetic type therapy.
I would also like to say that I believe in the whole concept of physical medicine and more of an alternative type approach to medicine. I personally feel that mainstream medicine has lost a concept of quality of life. |
