I Bought my 91 Z about 3 years ago and I still love it. Everyone in my town like
many others were all about thier mustangs but, I wanted to do something
different "and I like Chevy much more
" I was tired of hearing people talking a bout mustangs all the
time......That's when I knew that it was time to sell my 85 chevy blazer and
look for something to compeat with. Although I do admit that any mustang could
give me a better run for the money but I didnt care at this point... I wanted to
show everyone that theres more than mustangs in this town. When I got the car it
was in DAMN near PERFECT condition, scince then I've put a couple of small dings
and a small hole in the seat but other than the normal wear and tear still in
very good shape. It was only later that when I wanted to start looking into mods
to get a better run out of the TPI did I find out why everyone wanted
mustangs..their much much cheaper to modify...You really cant touch this TPI SD
with out really burning a hole in your wallet....But I didnt want to give up I
love the looks and the handling of the car...So mods have been slow comming but
good so far...Last summer I upgraded all of the susp. with Kyb Gas shocks and
struts, Pollyurethane Bushings,
Hotchkis Strut Tower Brace, New ball joints, Bering inner and outer, and
Intrax 2" lowering springs...After all that day man that made a HUGE
differance, handles great now!.
The first year I bought it I did the minor mods like K&N, Air Foil, and a B&M ratchet Shifter with a custom little handle he he he he ..kinda unorigional but I did it for more of a centimeatal value really I had it in all of the cars I had ,85 blazer, 68 Chevy Truck, and now moving to my Camaro. Next to come I knew what ever heavy mod I did I will need some accurate Guages, Fuel and Oil and scence I've allways been into Stero systems a voltage guage. I ended up going with Digital Intelitronix guages. and geting a dual guage pods for the pillar..allthough it was a good Idea I dont like the add on guage pods and am trying to work with a company to make a solid pillar replacement with the pod mouldings,,just to make it look cleaner... At the end of last summer I decider to give some No2 a try... and with some recearch I decited to go with a wet plate system by NOS.. but first I would need good fuel pressure so installing a 155LPH pump and Holly Adjustible Fuel Pressure Regulator was needed first... after a bit of tuning and tinkering finally getting the system to work... it paid off . I hope to soon get some time slips but first I want to get a little tranny work to help the shifting under such a load and RPM. The last mod that I did was just this month installing a MSD 6al and Blaster Coil.
Of course you gotta have some tunes so I installed a Kenwood KCDX811 deck..... and still have yet to install 4 JL Audio 12's Powerd by a Fosegate 1100a2 1400 watt amp and Infinity 4x6 plates and Componet sets and a set of Cerwin Vega 5.2 componet all powerd by 2 MTX 1250 540 watt amps..... What I've been wating to install though is the Edelbrock Base plate and SLP runners I need to get a 52mm throttle body and maby some injectors first.
More mods to come so check back often and dont forget to check out the few movies that I just posted.
