The Sorcerer's Stone

In the first book of the phenomonal series, Harry Potter thinks he's just a regular boy. Orphaned as a baby when his parents died in a car carsh, Harry was sent to live with his mean relatives - Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and their spilt son Dudley. Harry sleeps under the stairs and leads a pitiful life, that is, until, he is saved by the giant Hagrid,  recieves a letter confirming his place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, goes to Diagon Alley to buy an owl and a new wand, and learns the truth about his past - Harry's a wizard!
Travelling to his new school on the Hogwarts Express, Harry becomes friends with other first year wizards, Ron, Hermione and Neville. With them he shares the nervousness of being a new student, the anxiety of which House the Hogwarts Sorting house will place them in, and the excitement of learning how to become a proper wizard!

But as Ron,Hermione and Harry explore the old, towering Hogwarts Castle, become friends with other young witches and wizards and the groundskeeper, Hagrid, and begin to loathe Poitions lessons with the hideious leader of Slytherin House - Snape - they find that something's not quite right about Hogwarts. Why else would that particular corridor be out of bounds? Why else would Snape be threatening the new Transfiguration teacher, Flitwick? And
where have Harry, Ron and Hermione heard the name Nicholas Flamel before?

Join Harry as he  copes with being a first year student and the youngest Quidditch player in the school, as well as trying to solve the mystery of the Sorcerer's Stone!
