Albus Dumbedore
Albus Dumbledore is the kind-hearted, jolly headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But this seemingly simple man is not so simple - for Dumbledore is known as the only wizard in history that Lord Voldemort was ever afraid of.

At the beginning of his teacher career, Dumbledore taught Transfiguration to young Hogwarts students - including the young Voldemort. While everyone else in the school commended the future Dark Lord on his high marks and awards, Dumbledore knew that the 'perfect' head boy was not what he seemed. During the Dark Years, Dumbledore organised wizards and witches all over the world to minimise destruction - for the Dark Lord knew that Dumbledore had even greater dark powers than he, and could bring about his downfall if he choosed to use them. After the Dark Lord's demise, Dumbledore was responsible for finding the baby Harry a new home, and wizards and witches everywhere sent their children to Hogwarts, knowing that if ever the Dark Lord were to rise again they would be safe in Dumbledore's hands.

Now, Dumbledore watches as Harry becomes a great wizard, and helps him along his way to find out about his past.
