Wowsers! It turns out Scotty not only liked this site, but loved it enough to draw a thank you piccie! Needless to say, I am very, very, very happy. Thank you so much, Scotty!

Reeba is hardly in tears after seeing this place! Thank you so much, Scotty!

Finally got Devil May Cry today. Huzzah! It's really, really good! Oh yesyes. New piccie in the fan art 'gallery'. Go take a peek!

October 22nd, 2001

I hate Monday. Yuck. I caught a kyoot little mention of this fan site on Heebas. We ... er ... I don't care if Sully and Minkle are complete slobs. They must like cheese-like snacks a lot too, I've noticed; who'd ever guess vulpines and avians had a thing for stuff like that? I wonder if Mim likes cheese snacks, too?

New buttons, thanks to my (to quote Hammer from Xenogears) "MAD SKILLZ" in MS Paint. That program is really underrated! This time it's a ripoff of ... well, not Devil May Cry. Guess really, really hard! Anyhow, I'll update the sections to match the button themes. My plan is to have all the links set up like an Intergalactic Most Wanted list for all of Scotty's friends, guilty by association. Don't give me that look!

Devil May Cry, on the other paw, is progressing nicely. I'm stuck on this blob boss-thingie. Scotty will give me inspiration to defeat the slimy puddle of malevolence.

October 26th, 2001

Scotty hasn't updated his site for a few days. I mean ... he didn't update a lot in the past, but now he's been updating a lot, and I assumed it was the norm. I ... miss his comments about anything. The randomness. The glimpse into the Arsenault mind. Where are you Balto Scotty?! I'll be lost without you! I hope he's okay. He has to be okay. Nanook and Skeezix would not let any harm befall the Master. Anyhow, there's a new drawing the art gallery. Love your MS Paint, folks! ;)

October 28th, 2001

Monday is on the horizon, and I'm ready to take on the week. Little does Scotty know I have actually seen a Bruins game. I'm not a huge sports fan, though the cheer squad had some people dressed in ursine fur suits, so that part was enjoyable for me.

My little group of friends are also dressing up as Final Fantasy IX characters this year. I have taken the role of Freya Crescent, the rat-like Burmecian Dragoon with a love that doesn't remember her. Sigh. Our party currently has an Eiko, Vivi, Zidane, Dagger, and Kuja. We might get one of our groupies little'uns to dress up as King Cid in frog/oglop form ... with the promise of candy, no less. My, what a sorry and ragtag bunch we're going to turn out to be. It's been fun in the making, though.

Devil May Cry has been on hold for a little bit. I have more important things to do ... like ... er ... update this page. The Blob-thing is dead, replaced with these ice-thingie-wotsits. I've been having a discussion with Lago of ZVGQ about the 'survival horror' genre. Supposedly, all attacks by monsters are made through windows in a survival horror game. The main character always freaks out. Not Dante. And the ghosts don't like windows. They simply pop out of the walls. Spooky ... nice for Halloween. Give his site a look-see. If ya like video games and senseless humour, you'll be stuck there for hours.

Scotty fulfilled my one, soul goal yesterday: he linked up this fan site in Heebas, which in effect is the ultimate honour, on top of the outrageous thank you piccie he gave me (see above ... how can you miss it?). I am not worthy. And I am not psycho. Mildly obsessed, yes. Maybe misunderstood. But psycho, never. ;)

Those of you who know me, also know about my quest in life to obtain a copy of Once Upon a Forest. This movie is nothing short of pure furry perfection, and I have spent countless hours trying to find a copy of it. I was once lucky enough to stumble upon it in a rental store, but the meanie there wouldn't sell it to me (to quote; as seen in IH: "Get out my store, crazy girl! I no sell you rental movies!").

I ordered the movie from Amazon no more than four months ago, and I just received a notice this morning basically saying: "Sorry, we suck too much to send you an item we have on our database." Thankfully, I did a little more searching (with some nudging from a good Monster Ranched friend), and I was able to find the movie advertised right at its source: the multi-domain, multi-media giant, Fox. So, folks, if you love Scotty, Heebas, and me, boycott Amazon and crummy, unknown rental stores.

My movie is now ordered, with 3-day priority, disease-free shipping. Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll get my movie in a week. That is ... if some high-security Fed person doesn't rip it up, thinking its a bomb or something.

The Furlings on a quest of life, friendship, and redemption. Sorta like Heebas without the mice! Well ... there is one mouse.

This is currently my wallpaper. Ain't it kyoot!?

Mrrfl...hey 'gain! This site's number of visitors has quadrupled since Scotty linked me up...which gives me an idea of his sort of site traffic. I wish I had a better piece of work to present to the masses. This page, in actuality, is not only a place to rant tirelessly about Scotty, but to get a feel for web design mechanics as well. Who knows? Months from now, I might have a Flash-heavy ScottyFan.com. Heehee! Big Shot is updated, with a few links to a couple of my own dwellings. Perhaps Scotty has been to them before?

I've been addicted to Shinohara Tomoe's "Chime", and a lovely nameless Mp3 that one of my good friends created and shared. I'll post the midi once he figures out a name for it.

See ya next update! ;D

October 31st, 2001

Happy Halloween!

What a night it's been! I was finally able to use my Freya Crescent costume, and tag along with all of the Final Fantasy IX crew. My tenure as a Burmecian Dragoon, however, came to a quick end -- I was in too much pain to stick about with a rowdy bunch of half-sober, sugar-high RPG junkies, so I wandered home, flipped on the Ps2, and finished Devil May Cry. For a twelve hour-long game (supposing ya max out all of your weapons, powers, items, and abilities), this game is quite a treat. The ending wasn't too corny, and actually quite romantic and very sad. The game puts ya through three final bosses. Aren't more and more games these days putting players through the multi-boss endings? Sort of cliché, after enough games do it.

Lessee ... Scotty hasn't updated in a few days. Is this cause to worry? Nawww. I was thinking how cute it'd be to make little ferret costumes for Nanook and Skeezix. Chances are the little darlings would either chew off the costumes if Scotty somehow managed to dress them, or they'd bite the crud out of whoever was playing dress up with them -- but I still think it would be a grand idea. Nanook would be extra-spiffy in a Sully costume. Denim, plaid jacket, and an ice cream sammich in each paw. Skeezix might be cute in a Super Ferret costume. He could go adventuring with Marble! Heeheehee!

Alas, I am still in wait for my movie from Fox. I sure as heck hope they have Once Upon a Forest. How can movie places not stock that movie? It borders on an American Tail in both story line and quality, in my not-so-humble-opinion. Oh well ... maybe tomorrow. If anything, maybe Scotty will update soon. ::Sigh::

Updated the Big Shot (links) ... again. Go take a peek!

November 1st, 2001

Happy November! I would have updated last night, but Geocities was acting stupid. That's what I get for using a crappy free web host. Wish I had a real host. I added a whole mess of links today, so I'm sure there are new sites to discover for everyone.

Once Upon a Forest shipped! I'm sooooo happy! I can't rant enough about the hours I've spent searching, the questions I've asked, the number of stores visited. It's mind-blowing. For such a great movie, I wonder if Fox'll try to give it some attention by converting it to DVD? We can only hope. I wonder if Scotty has seen the movie?

Let's see ... we've already gone over the links, and the introduction text was reworked a little bit. I think that's all ... for now. Heehee! ;)

November 2nd, 2001

Good news, a little more good news, and some bad news. Good news: Once Upon A Forest came yesterday. I'm so thrilled! I have plans to watch it about four times in a row, so that should be fun. Little more good news: Scotty updated. This time it was a piccie of Yebbo on the main page. Truthfully, I like the younger incarnation of Yebbo. Scotty really gave him a 'cute, pissed off teen' look in the days of yore. Bad news: I read that Yerf will be having some downtime next week. I hope it's nothing too bad. Oh, and notice the funky links? I'm dabbling with D-HTML. Kyoot, isn't it? I might add in some snowflakes later ...

November 4th, 2001

Yikes, doesn't this site look so much better? Scotty gave me some wonderful tips and ideas on how to improve his own fan site. I hope he likes the changes! The buttons I made myself; the odd symbols are in Precursor, an ancient furry language. If ya can decipher the contents, and let me know what exactly I wrote in Precursor, I might be a able to cough up a little gift.

You will notice there is a new Archives page -- a place where all my ranting and updates will go after they're old and used up. It will be a little more work on my half, but anything for Scotty. Murr...

Added new Fan Art (formerly Scotty BeBop.) It's one of my MS Paint scribbles of the Noozle characters with some kittens. Remember Noozles? The koalas -- Pinky and Blinky -- who lived in an all-furry dimension called 'Koala-Wala Land'. The nostalgia is killing me...

I never imagined I'd spend most of my day updating this site. There's so much to change and stuff. I hope Scotty likes the main text colour better. It's less bright purple, I hope.

Lessee...I literally got dragged out by a few friends last night to see The One. Sort of a Matrix-style cliché action movie. The plot was interesting, but I think the rest of the movie was poorly executed. Afterward, the party headed over to Borders. There, they had this very interesting tea called 'Maté Latté', which smelled just like a mix of coffee and chocolate, but wasn't. I happened to get Shrek on DVD as an early Christmas present, and our little group went home and watched it until the wee hours of the morning. I was completely shocked that I was able to get up right before Redwall came on today.

It's nice to get out once in a while, though too much pre-Holiday season interaction with the outer world can be fatal. I believe PacRat, from Yerf, refers to this time of year as 'Giftmas'. I agree.

Want to hear something fun? I threw up. Why? Because I finally found some time to myself to watch Once Upon a Forest (see rant in The Archive) ... popped in the aging VHS-format tape ... only to discover ...

...it was in Spanish.

Spanish?! I don't know Spanish! Not only that, the horrid voice acting and actors killed the characters. Some movies just shouldn't be translated ... and I mean that in the sense that DVDs will save us all. When ya get a DVD, you're not only getting the understandable English version, but a couple other languages as well. It's a win/win situation. Just not for those unlucky few who shop Fox.

My great online friends -- and my Furlings -- Charity and Chris were first to hear about my horrible problem with this furry movie, and were quick to help me back onto my paws. Thanks a lot, you two; this whole thing with getting shipped the wrong language really devastated me. xD

Back to Fox I went. It gives you three choices, oddly. In my excitement, I chose the first option, believing that would be the correct version of this grand, hard-to-find furry tale. It would seem that was not the case. Chris told me it was the middle one, and Charity gave me an odd look and sympathy for my wasted ten bucks.

So, do I still like e-commerce? I'll tell you when I get the stupid movie in the mail. That is ... if it isn't crawling with some bizarre bacteria powder. In that sense, I salute all of the US Postal workers. I love you all. Next time you get something in the mail, try to remember the people risking their lives to bring you your bills, junk mail, letters from people you love and care about, and furry movies.

No sub-update would be complete without a little Scotty ranting. Go see Heebas! He added an awesome Flash thingie for the Heebas frontpage. This allows you to choose which title image you'd like to see: Minkle, Marble and Yebbo, Marble, Yebbo, Mim, Mim again, and one of a rat-thing. Very nicely done, Scotty!

Finally, a lil piccie was done by Cher, which I thought'd be cute to ink and post. It happened one night when the Mobian RP group were talking about how cute it would be if (please forgive me Scotty for writing about such things on your fansite. I know what you think of them; it won't happen often) Pokémon combined with the Chao from Sonic the Hedgehog. Go see at the Fan Art page!

Until next update, this is Bonnie signing off...

November 11th, 2001

Wowsers! November is nearly half over? The time really, really flies. Scotty hasn't updated in a little while. No cause for worry! Once Upon a Forest finally arrived ... again. This time in jolly old English. No having to hear 'Oby-GEEEEL' this time! I was tempted to watch the Spanish version on really low volume, but I couldn't live with myself for actually buying it by mistake. The disadvantages of e-commerce, folks.

Lessee...I went out and got Crash Bandicoot IV, Soul Reaver II, and Dragonwarrior VII. I should be busy for awhile. Crash Bandicoot IV is nearly finished ... and horrible. Don't waste your time with this game; 45-second load screens, shallow levels, and horrible voice acting simply kill this once prosperous series. Probably because Traveller's [sic] Tales took the program for itself, rather than the game company Naughty Dog (I checked; it's a safe link, despite the name). Besides, they're more busy with bigger and better projects, like Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (Shoot! Now you know where I got that font!).

November 17th, 2001

Great googly-moogly! I haven't updated in a while ... but neither has Scotty. We're even. Finally took Crash Bandicoot 4 back, and used the fresh credit to buy Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. Now all I have to do is wait a month. Metal Gear Solid 2 is really, really good; this coming from a furry who's not wildly into military crap, too. Scotty, get this game. Please. You'll thank me.

Once Upon A Forest came, and I watched it for the first time in eight years. It's just as I remembered it; plus all the scenes that made me cry ... did it to me again! Well, this site isn't "Heeba May Cry" for nothing.

I actually e-mailed Traveller's Tales in my grim furor about Crash, and let them know what I thought about their design effort, and unacceptable load times. Lo and behold, the Executive Producer of the whole bloody game wrote back. I respect game companies that are able to put their Commanders on the frontline. We've been having a little discussion about why Crash Bandicoot 4 sucks so much -- especially because it brings such a bad name to the furry franchise (owned by media giant Universal, no less). He says the Japanese get half of the load time (wow, they have to wait 22.5 seconds, do they?), the game was devoloped in 1/3rd of the time as Naughty Dog did with the first three games (that is something to be proud of?), Universal gave them the horrible script (well, they can't even get a Land Before Time cameo right in their own theme park), and he thought the game was fun. Bzzzt.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I would like to say that I am thankful for a lot of stuff. Life -- no matter how screwed up it can be at times, furries -- the source of my obsession (hey, it's better than drugs, smoking, or alcohol); Scotty, the artist that inspires me to try and be the best at whatever I do (drawing, usually); Chris, for our all-weather friendship and wealth of military/furry knowledge; Charity, for her drive to keep going on and making the most of her life; and many, many (really, many) others. I am thankful that these people exist to me, and I am thankful I was able to meet them in the first place. It is those kinds of friends that one simply can't find, but hope and dream to meet in a twist of fate.

As usual, an update wouldn't be complete without some new Fan Art (Scotty BeBop), featuring Michelle from Once Upon a Forest, and a 'solid' Metal Gear Solid 2/Heebas mix piccie. Interesting, ne? Go see!
