After speaking w/Ceil Theis-Rufo...according to her father Valentine Theis, George died falling off of the cliffs above the Hudson River on the NJ side. He was a lover of birds and often tried catching them. The family believes that is what he was doing to cause his fall. After the family realized he was missing and started searching for him, the brother of Mary Dillworth-Theis found him while walking home from work. Mary Dillworth-Theis later became the wife of Valentine Theis, George's brother. Although the family did not meet again until several years later, when Valentine as a teenager went to a dance w/Mary's sister Julia.
